HiveWatch's Aaron Volkmann Promoted to VP of Engineering
Experienced engineering leader to lead product and software solutions development for the company
LOS ANGELES, June 6, 2024 – HiveWatch, a physical security software company reimagining how organizations keep their people and assets safe, announced today it has promoted Aaron Volkmann to VP of Engineering. This promotion follows the company’s growth over the last year, adding more features to the HiveWatch® Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Operating System (OS) and adding the HiveWatch® Command Center to its product lineup.
Volkmann has led the engineering organization since September 2023. Prior to joining HiveWatch in 2021 as Principal Engineer, he was at the Carnegie Mellon University Software Engineering Institute, where he led a team of DevSecOps engineers and Scaled Agile change agents in various high-level projects. As part of the work he did, Volkmann assisted the U.S. Department of Defense and Department of Homeland Security agencies with modernizing their software development and acquisition practices through cloud-native tech stacks.

With a diverse, 21-year background in product development, building, fielding, and sustaining software solutions for a wide variety of business domains, Volkmann will continue to build on the success of the HiveWatch engineering team as it adds to and streamlines the HiveWatch platform’s capabilities. He will also be responsible for expanding the company’s engineering team and oversee internal and external-facing technical communication on behalf of HiveWatch.
